We enjoyed an excellent early evening meal at The Queens Head (8647) served by Joanne
We enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Cottage Loaf (7694)served attentively by Helen & Vicky
Popped in once again on 17th Nov about 12.30. The IPA and the food were first class. The service was excellent with the young lady waitress discovering my car keys that I had left on the table and bringing them to me before I had time to leave the pub.
service was fine. food was very poor. potted mackerel was the worst thing I have ever seen served, just lots of runny cream with mackerel.the battered fish was over cooked as was the burger
which I had which was also of poor quality and the lamb cutlets were mainly fat.
When I paid the bill I was not asked if everything was to our satisfaction, everyone seems too eager to give out cards for free dessert on the next visit rather than be concerned about this one.

we have visited the Harrington arms on many occasions and the staff are brilliant but the food can let it all down it comes well presented but not hot I have in the last two visits had to send food back to the kitchen I feel sorry for the front of house staff having to deal with this on what seems to be normal poor service from the kitchen
A group of us went out for a celebratory birthday meal for my mum , our waitress Lisa was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. We visited the Plume Of Feathers at Burnham Green in Hertfordshire. 10/10 For service , food, decor and alround ambiance.
Stayed at the Cromwell Arms Hotel, Banbury, Oxfordshire, booked from Friday 18th April 2014 to Sunday 20th. On arrival about 1245 said to Cloe on reception, that I was not feeling well and needed to lie down. her reply was that booking in was 2pm. I told her I was ill but was told that booking in was 2pm.
Bearing in mind she knew that we were a party with 7 doubles and one single booked, I would assume that at least one of the rooms would have been ready for occupation.
perhaps the allocation of rooms could have been changed or none of our group would have minded me lying down in their room.
There was not any attempt to see if any room was available.
I returned at 2pm and went to be staying there till 8am Saturday. We booked out (paid full price) and returned home about 12pm Saturday, going straight to bed.
That is where I stayed until Tuesday morning!
Certainly this wasn,t the best service I,ve had in any of the many Hotels that I,ve stayed at.
Don,t know what the Hotel was like, only looked up at the ceiling in room 12. Ron.
Onces again we have stayed at the George Hotel Huntingdon. As always we were made very weclome by all the staff,Leo who weclomed us,Rhiannan on desk,Therese who looked after our meal the first day,Nikki who looked after us on mothers day(first class food)Sally who serves our breakfast and Dave the chef who does the best ever egg benedict,Jenny who looks after our room,we feel at home here, and there are so many places to visit,we hope to come back again very soon,so thank you all.from Sandra@Mike
we visited your restaurant in holywell Cambridgeshire for a family dinner on march 16th 2014.the meal was booked for 12.30pm and we ordered at 1pm. we then waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive when it did most meals were cold or very poor in quality. the food used were not of a high standard we know because my partner mrs sue crook works in the food industry.we then when we finished these meals waited another 40 minutes for the plates to be cleared.i asked a waitress to clear the plates, she said they were delivering food to others tables before they get cold.we only her once in the time we ate our food.as to the desert when we ordered this the delay was about 20 minutes.these came 30 minutes laterand again were cold .we expect when visiting a restaurant that time spent there would be about a hour and a half not nearly 3 hours.the pub in question is the old ferry boat.it would appear that because the a two sections in this pub preference it given to smaller table section.leaving the big table section as second class service. when visiting resturants we expect good or excellent service and on this occasion this was severly lacking.we would appreciate a reply of some sort.you can call me on 01954782234 if you wish to improve your service.am sure if you do not I could spread the word.
Good service, lovely menu and food delicious.
Just spent a night at the Ely Hotel in yateley. The food was spacious and comfortable and the pub was delightful. Very friendly staff and very good value dinner - 2 main courses for 9.99. We shall definitely go again and shall explore some other Old English Inns. We went to the Rave in Hook 2 weeks ago and that was very nice too.
Quality food in a perfect setting with very friendly staff would recommend

The two lads serving behind the bar and taking meal orders were brilliant [did`nt get their names]
nothing was to much trouble ,excellent attitude from everyone, keep it up.
WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!
DAVID & JAYNE.
All staff were very helpfull and keen but the hotel was very tired and dirty dinning room no two chairs the same plus tables were dirty and old. the breakfast is good but dinner was very hit and miss.bedrooms dark and unwelcoming with very tired bathroom. the staff are very helpfull. The hotel needs complete refurb. Our daughter stayed at the premier inn barnstaple and it was spotless. The location is great you are not making the most of it.
Excellent food served with efficiency and care for the diner.Very adequate proportions served on hot plates.Extremely pleasant surroundings made the whole eating experience one to remember and one to experience again in the near future.
Fishermans Rest Titchfield. Having recently discovered this establishment we have returned several times for birthdays, lunches out and today a pre- Christmas lunch with an elderly neighbour. They never fail . The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The staff attentive and the menus and food are absolutely excellent in choice, presentation and price. To be recommended for everyone and every occasion
We are frequent visitors to the White Hart, Coggeshall for morning coffee once or twice a week and meals once or twice per month with friends. Generally speaking the food is good but not as good as it used to be. We have lived in Coggeshall for 7 years and during that time we have watched the standards of the hotel slowly deteriorate. Managers come and go like the seasons, the staff likewise save for the two brilliant Italian members of staff who appear to keep the place going at times. The White Hart is in dire need of refurbishment; new carpets, re-painting inside and out, new toilets and a logburner to replace the open fire which smokes and has often driven us out of the room! It is a wonderful old building and should be the jewel in the group's crown.
Visited the Castle & Ball in Marlborough last Saturday? The food was delicious the service was excellent and our waiter Sean was superb. He cultivated a rapport with all diners and was so friendly, efficient and polite my wife and I will revisit and recommend to our frinds and family.
Good service and lovely food.
I was a resedent at the Old English in Ross on Wye for a few weeks, in Oct and found the staff and accommidation well above avarage, and the helpfulness of the staff and friendleness of the staff fantastic and I would like to tahnk all the team and mention a few to pass on my thank's Joe the manager and Joe B, Gail, Joide, Brian, Patric.....it was a great time made special by this team....
We stayed at The Coleshill Hotel Coleshill. Nov 1st to Nov 3rd. Nice room. Very pleasant and
helpful staff. Excellent food. Really lovely Hotel. Just one moan , it was very noisy both nights due to parties taking place. If we go again we would ask to go in the Annexe. Don't mean to be Kiljoys as we really enjoyed it there , and it shows what a poular place it is.
Extremely happy with the food! Our waitress was smiley & willing to banter + a happy, relaxed atmosphere = a party of 6 very happy customers! Shall defo b returning soon!
Pauline at Saracen's Head Towcester (6509) was extremely good. The service and food were very good too.
We liked the new layout and decor - a huge improvement.
Very good, six of us had your two courses for £7.95 at The Grosvenor in Stockbridge. Good selection and well cooked and presented. Will return.

We called at The Old Stag twice in the past week and found the ambience really pleasing.the food was really nice and we were served by pleasant hardworking staff.we will definitely call again and tell our friends.
Booked a 25th wedding anniversary on 1st September.Spoke to Elena who was most helpful she arranged everything for us.On the day of the celebration we were amazed at the trouble she had gone too.The table was laid beautifully I would recommend anyone who wants to arrange a special dinner to go to The Doghouse Oxfordshire and speak to Elena.
Our first visit to Romsey. The staff were very helpful and assisted willingly as we had a disabled person with us. Food was excellent and we did not wait too long ( just twenty minutes) although we were told waiting time could be up to half an hour.
