    I have purchased Stride Rite shoes for years when my children were younger. Now for the past 6 years I have purchased them for my grandchildren. My granddaughter has worn the same style of shoe because she wears uniforms and can only have black or navy blue. She likes the navy blue and I purchased a pair on July 16, 2015. They live in Texas so I mailed them to her. They started school on August 9, and by October her shoes were so discolored she couldn't wear them. They don't have a store by them so my daughter bought her a pair at Payless. She is in the 4th grade and this has never happened before. I took the shoes back to the Legacy Village store on December28 as they came home for Christmas. The clerk named Layla didn't even look at them just said "Oh that's just wear and tear put some shoe polish on them" I kept telling her this never happened before, but she would not listen. My grandson's shoes are fine and he's in Pre-K. If this is the way customers are treated for what we pay for the quality we expect to get, I will never buy anything again from you.     I have chosen to purchase my nephew’s shoes from Stride Rite , almost exclusively since Ali needed shoes. Ali has wide feet, extra wide to be exact. Each time I go to the Stride Rite store close to my home, and I mean Each time, I have had a unsettling experience. The young lady who services me, inevitable, tries one of these moves: tries to push his foot into a wide shoe, when he was younger, he is now almost 5 years old, tries to up sell me, tires to convince me that he doesn’t need the size up, when I can plainly sees the size she is trying to sell me will be outgrown in a matter of months, and I have to request that his foot be measured! I have spoken to your CS 8oo number, with no change in the approach to my nephews shoe or whether they fit properly or not. I must ask to have his foot measured and then I must insist that he be given a shoe that fits him properly and will last him ( size wise) for at least 6 months! I am pretty much done with your personal and their attitude. One time I called to talk to the store manger regarding my experience, and the lady that waited on me WAS the store manger! Why do I return , You have the extra wide and wide shoes that no one else carries, I am done now for sure this will be the last time I will have to wait on myself and have the privilege of paying for it!

    Since they work in a shoe store, it would help if they measured the child's foot. Maybe shown some shoes that are best for their age group. Knowing if to get that size or maybe a bit bigger.
