Joseph Heinen first opened the doors of a small meat market, appropriately named “Heinen's,” in 1929 on Kinsman Road (later renamed Chagrin Boulevard). Nurturing a personal relationship with his customers, Joe's business grew and so did his customers' demands for additional groceries. He added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and from there, Heinen's Fine Foods as we know it today was born.

    Twice this week I purchased Neiman Ranch baby back ribs, and both times I had to take them back upon opening the package because they smelled very spoiled. I was refunded. But no manager addressing my problem, and obviously also the problem of a batch of ribs in the meat rack that were bad. I am a regular customer, I spend north of $20,000 a year in your store, and I am very pissed about all this.

    Like the fact the Heinens researches its suppliers to provide high quality organic vegetables, high quality local produce and the fish, and meats are investigated for quality and nutrition.

    Today (Weds, 11-11-15) I spoke to Lil in customer service because my husband had forgotten his wallet @ another place of business before his stop @ the Strongsville store. Lil was so kind to paige him as I checked other planned stops. She asked me to return a call if I was able to locate him which I did.     I like heinen's, but I was recently impressed with their flower section. While looking online for flowers i felt torn, everything seemed really expensive, and when ordering online who knows what the quality of the flowers will be. So a friend recommended i check out heinen's. I went on my lunch break to the Strongsville store, and I was shocked on all the different varieties of flowers they had. I found the babies breath, which i was looking for... and in pink which i was tickled to see...and to boot at a great price. The freshness in all of their flowers was amazing. i did a mock up of a few arrangements and the flowers are just as nice as the day i bought them 3 days ago. i will be buying the remainder of my flowers for my sept 12th wedding at heinen's. Thank you

    I visited your aurora store for the first time since moving to aurora. I got my items and proceed to the checkout line. By the way no one that worked there spoke to me or said hello or anything which I thought was odd, cause every store I visit always said at least hello or good morning. Anyway I was at the checkout line and the cashier ask for my heinens card which was on my key ring and I handed to her and she scan it and instead of handing it back to me she threw it on the belt. I politely said I hope that was an accident cause I handed it to you and I expected to be handed back to me in my hand. She then said she was sorry after I brought it to her attention. I don't want the 5% cause I will not be shopping there. I will said this the Heinen store in Strongsville Ohio is the best store that I have shopped in and the people there makes you feel like you are welcome.

    I asked one of the heinens employers where something was and they took me directly to the right isle and showed me and showed she was very happy to do and told me to have a good day. Also the cashier was very nice and the man putting my groceries in the trunk of my car. The store was very clean and all the fresh fruit on display. Love shopping for all the healthy food.

    I enjoy shopping at Heinen's. My late mother was a customer at the rocky river store for over 30 years. I became a brecksville customer when i was working at the va. I am now retired and have continued shopping at the brecksville store now for more than 12 years. The staff is very friendly and the selection is great. I am a great fan of the salad bar, i used to get salads every day after work. Continued success! DB.
