    Very disrespectfull clerk. Not helpful and no communication
    He and another person bagged for me. Thsebags were so heavy I had to empty them before I could lift them into my car. One bag contained three containers of chicken stock, three large cans of pineapple with a box of crackers, topped off with two pounds of bananas.
    At 82 years young do I have to bag myself?

    Common sense,courtsey, concern for the customer should be at the top of the training manual
    I cango to Walmart and get that type of service
    More instruction for retail clerks will only help the image of BIG Y

    on may 3, 2014 at 7;35 pm I went to lane 2.transaction 9470,a older lady was 2 people a head of me in line , age in late 80s hunch back white hair, your casher wouldn't put her bags in cart for her. when it was my turn he put gallon of milk and two litter soda in same bag ,I said I cant lift that so he fixed it but he put 3 half gallons ice cream in same bag. he knew I had problems but he didn't put my bags in cart eather, as I lifted the ice cream a hurt my chest ,I had open heart surgery in the beginning of march. if I hurt like this, so did the elderly lady.im not a new customer but this is wrong to treat people like that, the casher didn't even wait till we got our bags of the end of the counter before he took the next person in line.i don't want him fired but he really needs to be trained in compation of coustomers

    I was at Big Y today. I have never shopped there before and after I saw the prices I do not think I would hurry back to shop there again. Everything I bought was much more expensive than what I would have paid at Market Basket. I happened to be in Holden so I thought I would stop in to pick up a few things. The store was very nice, but I think the prices are very high. I did not have a shopping card nor do I want one. I tried to take the survey listed on the bottom of my sales slip but I was unable to do so because I did not have a shopping card. For the items I spent $37.80 for, I would have spent about $25.00 at Market Basket... and without a card!

    I find the big y store open, airy and clean. the people always seem pleasant & answer any questions without seeming to be annoyed by your asking questions. Items are easy to locate, as everything is marked well which helps making spending money a little easier. Your great sales also make the spending seem more worthwhile.

    I find staff extremely friendly and helpful every time I shop in the store. Because I had a stroke that left me with left side weakness, I use the motorized carts to shop and bring groceries out to my car. It is most helpful to have one of the staff to come with me to help put bags in my car then take the cart back into the store. Also, staff helps me reach some items that may be difficult to reach for me.

    I have enjoyed shopping in the Ellington Big Y , because it's a nice clean store. And the staff is great. Sometimes I end of going to The Manchester Store because the prices seem to be a little lower.

    It was raining hard, I was surprised that at the departure gate was an attendant with big umbrella , he was there to help customers back to their cars, VERY GOOD!
    I had a last minute item to pick on the run to visit. I knew Big Y would have just what I needed.
