Bakers Square is a casual dining restaurant chain in the United States. Known for its pies, Bakers Square also offers full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. The chain is owned by American Blue Ribbon Holdings. As of July 2011, there were 46 locations. Bakers Square began in December 1969 with a restaurant called "Mrs. C's" in Des Moines, Iowa, that became popular for its pies. Pillsbury purchased Mrs. C's around that time, renamed it "Poppin ' Fresh Pies", and opened additional locations. VICORP, owners of the Village Inn restaurant chain, purchased Poppin ' Fresh Pies from Pillsbury in 1983 and renamed the chain Bakers Square.

    I am a regular customer of Bakers Square and tonight I stopped by for supper and a piece of pie. The supervisor was very supportive of the young employee being trained in I think a new host. I was also pleased when Abbey, Lauren both took the time to say Hi, and ask if we needed anything.
    My kind of place when the people working there take the time to make you feel welcome.

    First of all, I didn't get a code on my receipt and certainly don't want to go through a lot of motions to get one.

    Secondly, the service in the Bakers Square store at Western and Touhy Avenues in Chicago is robotic at best. Little things, such as asking the server not to have cheese put on an omelet only to receive one with the cheese there: almost an indifference never asking me if I wanted hot sauce (I had to go to another customer's table to get a bottle), having my free pie left on my table on top of the take out bag (that's such a small thing but it is another instance of indifference). I used to sit with another server who has been there for years. It makes two times that this server told me that she was in a contest, the first one I don't remember. However, the second time she said that she was in a contest and it was based on the beverages which she sold. I didn't really want coffee that morning but took it for an additional $2 because I liked her. Later, I found out that there was no contest and that she was only trying to meet her quota. I haven't sat with her since. If it wasn't for Wednesday's free pies I wouldn't bother going to Baker's Square for breakfast at all. Hopefully, the servers on later shifts are much more people oriented and don't trip their customers like they are numbers.

    On my receipt there is no survey number box to put in a survey code.
    We dinned at the Palatine 270 E Northwest Hwy. Check Nu. 73679-1 Our server name was Trina.
    We used to go to the Bakerssquare in Crystal Lake,IL. Now it is a 68 round trip to visit Bakers.
    Trina was outstanding in the services she gave us. That would be one that would have us come back.
